Notiz: Henry R. Albiez, 62, died Friday morning, March 31, 2000, in his home at Hidden Springs in Franconia Township. He was under the care of Doylestown Hospice. He was the husband of Trudy E. (Sulton) Campbell Albiez. Henry R. Albiez, 62, died Friday morning, March 31, 2000, in his home at Hidden Springs in Franconia Township. He was under the care of Doylestown Hospice. He was the husband of Trudy E. (Sulton) Campbell Albiez. Born in Manhattan, N. Y., he was a son of the late Joseph Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Obrist) Albiez. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1955 and entered the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the USS Perry. He met his first wife, Marianne Karola Vogt Albiez, in Spain where they married. She died in February, 1993. He later lived in Germany and Switzerland before moving to Willow Grove in 1964. He resided in Doylestown Township for 20 years before moving to his present address in 1995. Mr. Albiez received a degree in business administration from LaSalle University. His working career was as an electrical engineer, having been employed with Univac, Decision Data, Aydin Controls, and retiring from Entertec, Lansdale. He was a member of the Branch Church, Harleysville, To Live Again, where he served as treasurer; and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his widow, Trudy, he is survived by three daughters: Dee, and her husband David Koeger of Jamison; Jeannette Albiez, and her husband, Mark Elgood of London, England; and Monique Ferrari of Chalfont; seven grandchildren; two brothers: Joseph Albiez, and his wife June of Winfield, Ill., and Bill Albiez, and his wife Cathy of Queens Village, N.Y.; nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held April 3 in the Wayside Chapel of Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Arrangements are with Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. |

He was born in New York, New York on July 3, 1929, the son of the late Joseph F. (1976) and Elizabeth Obrist Albiez (1994). He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, June D. (Rogers) Albiez (2005), and his brothers, William and Bob. Joseph H. He lived in Batavia for nearly two decades, serving as the General Manager for Eaton Yale & Town; served as Deacon for many years at the First Presbyterian Church; enjoyed his service with the Batavia Rotary Club, and the former Elk's Lodge for many years. Moving to Illinois in 1979 he continued working for Eaton serving as GM in Carol Stream, Ill. ; then on to Texas in 2013 to live closer to family. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph R. (Erin) Albiez of the Woodlands, Texas ; Mark (Doris Holvey) Albiez of Lockport, NY; and daughter Kim (Stephen) Davies of Alexandria , Va.; grandfather to Joseph, Kaitlin, Haven and Jeffrey Albiez, Sister-in-Law, Cathrine (William) Albiez; Uncle to many nieces & nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held immediately following with interment at Grandview Cemetery. |
